Jason & I prepared for this little boy and planned for his arrival in such a special way. As we started to choose a name for him it was only fitting that we included our heritage as apart of this soon to be boy/man of God. Carter is Jason’s mom’s maiden name. I can’t tell you how precious this side of the family is. They are so giving, warm, caring, and they radiate with the love of Christ. Although Mrs. Juanita’s parents have passed on into eternity, His mom and her sister still carry the amazing character & wisdom of this family. When you are around them you are aware of Christ in them. And James was my dad’s name. Not only did I/ do I think my dad was the absolute greatest dad in the history of the human race but he was also an intelligent, driven, loyal, respectable man. He had character traits that are extremely rare in men these days.
You see this is not just a name for my son, it is a legacy that I hope can be imparted into him. Every time we speak his name, I want us to be speaking life to the character, integrity, and image of what these two names represent in our family.
